Encouraging you to DRAW EVERY DAY this month!
Happy Promptober Everyone! I hope I’ve encouraged some of you to take part and draw every day in October! If you should miss a day or two, you can always make it up before Nov 1st to be be eligible for the prize drawings. So it’s not too late to jump in!!! We have some AWESOME Sponsors and prizes. Remember, you can do ANY medium. Even just a post-it scribble! Drawing every day doesn’t need to mean a masterpiece. It’s about the action. A pencil in motion, tends to stay in motion. 🔥
😳 By the way, this is going to be especially challenging for me!
I’ve been on the road for a week for day job work. And upon returning, I’ll have a super busy two weeks, AND I also have deadlines on the Childrens book I’m drawing. But I’m still committed to drawing the prompts and encouraging as many of you as possible!
And…Propstober!!!

So many artists QUIT in October and feel discouraged when they can’t complete a month long challenge. Or they feel like nobody cares in a sea of artists trying to scramble for attention.
It can feel very discouraging to post into the void and not get any response or comments.
We can help them stay encouraged! Here’s how:
Every day go to a social platform of your choice and do the following:
Search #inktober2022 , #inktober , #drawtober - find the “latest” posts from artists tagging their challenges.
Post some PROPS, or kind words on their art (no critiques!) Encourage them to keep going!!!
Sign your comment with #propstober and #drawordieclub.

This is shaping up to be the busiest month for the Draw or Die brand. It’s been a lot of work behind the scenes, but totally fun as well. The mission remains the same… Support and encourage as many visual storytellers as possible.

I don’t push the paid memberships much. It’s not really a money making venture we have going here 😂. But the biggest level is “founding member”. And basically I take all the money from the subscriptions and put it back into building up this brand, sponsored ads, prizes. So that’s about $500 this week that will help us build the brand. AND we plan to give a special holiday gift to founding members each year. I want it to be something truly special.
I also get notes from newsletter members who apologize for not subscribing. Listen, you shouldn’t feel any pressure to do so! Like I said, the money we bring in, we just put back into the mission. I really appreciate ALL of the daily subscribers.
Here are 2 ways you can support Draw or Die without spending 1 cent:
You simply open and read the weekly email. Hey! Good open rates help more than you know when we talk to brands for prize sponsorships! YOU all helped accomplish the great prizes we have for Promptober!
SHARE Draw or Die with your art friends. Use the hashtag #drawordieclub on your drawings, or form a little local drawing club. Encourage OTHERS to pick their pencils back up and stay sharp.

On a personal note: I’ve been away from home for a week with work, and exploring old haunts in the desert. Catching the red eye back to Pittsburgh tonight. Looking forward to getting back into the DRAW-FFICE and home sweet home.
